Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.
Association Songtaaba pour le Développement ASTD
Ilboudo Omer Jeanin Wendkaato is a trained economist and project manager with over 12 years of experience supporting businesses through roles in development projects, programs, and NGOs. He is also an entrepreneur with interests in consulting, agriculture, media, and logistics. As president of the Songtaaba Association for Development (ASTD), he has led initiatives in environmental protection and sustainable development since 2018, focusing on awareness campaigns and agroecological production.
He is a 2018 laureate of the Tony Elumelu Foundation and UBA Bank entrepreneurship program and has received multiple accolades, including the 2021 Palme d’Or Prize for Burkinabe Entrepreneurship, the 2021 European Union Cultural Expression for Peace award, and the 2023 PADEV Development Prize in Kigali, Rwanda. His work reflects a strong commitment to social impact, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across Africa.
