Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.
Founder, Research Desk Consulting Limited
Dr. Kojo Ahiakpa is the founder and team lead at Research Desk Consulting Limited, an agribusiness advisory and copyediting firm operating in Ghana and Canada. With over 12 years of experience, he specializes in agribusiness management, data analytics, and research consultancy.
Dr. Ahiakpa is also a Ph.D. candidate in olericulture at the Key Laboratory of Horticultural Plant Biology, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. His research focuses on leveraging genomics to improve total soluble solids in tomatoes.
He holds multiple degrees, including an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Unicaf University, an M.Phil. in Mutation Breeding and Plant Biotechnology from the University of Ghana, and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Ahiakpa has collaborated with international organizations, including the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), the Grameen Foundation, and the Research Triangle Institute. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for several esteemed journals.
In addition to his consultancy work, he serves as the coordinator of the OAAD Agricultural Research Group, focusing on evidence-based solutions to Africa's agricultural challenges.
