With a background in clinical medicine and community health, she brings a unique perspective to the African food ecosystem, one that recognizes food not just as sustenance but as a critical determinant of health and well-being.
Her lifelong passion for farming, rooted in early experiences on her family’s farm, continues to fuel her commitment to transforming how African food is valued and understood. Shacrine actively utilizes every platform available, whether through speaking engagements, community initiatives, or professional collaborations, to champion Indigenous knowledge systems and highlight the role of resilient food systems in achieving better health outcomes across the continent.
