Jukamen Smart Foods, JSF, is a social agribusiness enterprise that was initiated in 2019. The organization's aim is to help local farmers adapt to climate change( SDG13). This is done by by engaging farmers in arid areas in production of Bambara Beans. The bean is drought resistant and best suited to grow in semi-arid areas. It can be consumed as a meal on its own or grounded into flour. Jukamen Smart Foods then buys the harvest from farmers for processing, value addition, packaging and selling. A percentage of the harvest is left for the farmers household for consumption.
