Elgon-Sita Honey Coffee Dealers Ltd is a women-led agribusiness enterprise based on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. The company works with smallholder coffee farmers, particularly women and youth, to produce, process, and market high-quality honey coffee while promoting sustainable livelihoods and inclusive economic growth. Founded to address the challenges faced by rural coffee farmers, Elgon-Sita combines value addition, market access, farmer training, and community empowerment to create lasting social and economic impact. The company sources coffee directly from farming communities, ensuring fair trade practices and improved incomes for producers while maintaining quality standards demanded by local and international markets. Beyond coffee trading, Elgon-Sita is committed to empowering women and young people through entrepreneurship, financial literacy, climate-smart agriculture, leadership development, and skills training. Through its programs and partnerships, the company has directly impacted over 1,000 women and youth and indirectly reached more than 2,000 community members across Eastern Uganda. The company's flagship product, honey coffee, offers a unique value proposition by enhancing coffee quality through honey processing methods while preserving the rich flavors associated with the Mount Elgon coffee-growing region.
