The Community Empowerment and Innovation in Agriculture (CEIA) Cooperative Society Inc. is a youth-led agricultural cooperative with predominantly female members founded in 2017 by some farmers in Karnplay City, Nimba County, Liberia to provide solutions to some of the agricultural related challenges and address community related development. As the early bearing and high yields of oil palm mainly depends on improved and healthy seedlings, we identified a problem that most of the smallholder oil palm farmers find it difficult to get improved oil palm seedlings. In providing solutions to these challenges, we are producing improved seedlings for affordable prices with grant funding support from UNDP Liberia, World Bank, IFAD and Ministry of Agriculture. We are legally registered with the Cooperative Development Agency (CDA) and the Liberia Business Registry.
