Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.
Executive Director, Mercy Mission Global Ltd
Samirah Faruk is a social entrepreneur and business executive dedicated to empowering girls, women, and youth in rural communities across Northern Nigeria. She is the founder and CEO of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation, a humanitarian organization, and Mercy Mission Global Ltd., a social enterprise known for its agribusiness brands, Bishe Farms and Bishe Eggs, based in Kano.
With certifications in learning and development, water specialization, farm data management, business development services, healthcare consulting, and community animal health, Samirah brings a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable development. She is also the author of two books on organic poultry production and natural wellness.
Fluent in two Nigerian languages and with a working knowledge of French and Swahili, Samirah is a passionate advocate for grassroots transformation. As a mother of four, she continues to champion inclusive growth and health through education, enterprise, and community engagement.
