Agro Reference Ltd is an agri-food social enterprise that transforms local fruits (pineapples, hibiscus flowers) produced by low-income women farmers in in Benin into organic, highly nutritious, and alcohol-free wine. We offer a local, healthy, and environmentally friendly alternative to imported chemical drinks, which are often harmful to health, to combat food insecurity in Benin. Our mission is to: Optimize the value of local fruits to meet the growing need for healthy, accessible, and responsible food. Our vision is to become a global leader in optimizing the fruit value chain into high-quality products based on the African potential for food independence and an eco-social lifestyle. Within 5 years, we plan to: - provide a suitable and secure sales market to +250 low-income women farmers; - offer direct and indirect employment to +500 unemployed young people.
