Busaino Fruits & Herbs, is an Awards winning farm, BBC , Heritage Award and Best Farmer. BuFruit is an agroecological enterprise, Uganda, overlooking Lake Victoria. BuFruit has a goal to deliver food sovereignty in African through a movement, “My Family Food is African”. It undertakes 3 processes: a)identifying & converting under-utilised botanical resources in our homes and gardens in her case jackfruit & Avocado seed into a nutrient dense flour, b) building on indigenous knowledge of foods and herbal plants and c) regenerating disappearing resources through the food and herbs forests demonstration gardens.
