Improvement Of Rangeland In Pastoral Areas
The Improvement of Rangeland in Pastoral Areas (IRPA) is established to address the escalating rangeland degradation and the severe poverty of marginalized pastoral communities in Tanzania. IRPA is dedicated to strengthening the ecological integrity and economic viability of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities through sustainable rangeland management, climate-resilient livestock development, and inclusive market systems. IRPA works to restore degraded rangelands, improve livestock productivity (including cattle-centered breeding systems), and expand equitable access to markets—while empowering women and youth as drivers of socio-economic transformation.
