CAJU VALOR is a youth-led social enterprise in Benin that transforms cashew apples of which nearly 90% are wasted into natural, nutrient-rich juices enriched with moringa, ginger, and sorghum. Our innovation reduces food waste, fights malnutrition, and offers a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. By creating value from cashew apples, we encourage farmers to integrate cashew trees into agroforestry systems, restoring degraded land and improving soil fertility. Since 2023, we have served over 500 customers, generated revenues, and supported the restoration of 127 hectares. CAJU VALOR combines sustainability, community empowerment, and economic growth in one scalable model.
