I run an agricultural enterprise based in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, focused on horticulture and fishery. In horticulture, I cultivate vegetables and fruits to meet local food demands. In fishery, I breed and harvest fish to provide a sustainable and affordable protein source for the community. Problems Addressed: My business addresses several key challenges in the region: Food insecurity by increasing the availability of fresh, locally grown produce and fish. Malnutrition by offering nutritious food options to improve community health. Unemployment by creating local job opportunities and supporting youth involvement in agriculture. Environmental degradation by promoting sustainable and eco-friendly farming and aquaculture practices. Market supply gaps by reducing reliance on food imports and ensuring consistent availability.
