Story-tellers and digital media gurus that create content, experiences, or products that amplify positive changes and opportunities in the ecosystem, change global narratives and connect people to different African foods and beverages (e.g., journalist, food blogger, food stylist, curator, content creator, consumer packaged goods entrepreneur, etc.).

We accept nominations from across the African continent. Our goal is to be inclusive and celebrate the diversity of women in the food industry.
Nominations can be submitted through our website's "Submit Nomination" link. Follow the instructions to provide the necessary information about your outstanding nominee(s)
After the nomination period, our team carefully reviews all submissions. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further assessment.
Absolutely! We welcome multiple nominations from individuals who recognise the outstanding contributions of more than one woman in the food and agriculture sector. Each nomination is an opportunity to shine a light on women's diverse and remarkable efforts across the African continent.
The selection process involves a comprehensive review by our expert panel. We assess nominees based on their impact, innovation, and dedication to advancing the food and agriculture sector.
Fellowship categories include Disruptors, Trailblazers, Food/Beverage Narrative Changers, Top Chefs in Africa, and Ecosystem Enablers. Each category recognises unique contributions within the industry. Learn more about them here
Quality over quantity! While multiple nominations can highlight a candidate's impact, a well-detailed and compelling nomination holds more weight.
Our nomination form guides each category. Choose the one that best aligns with the nominee's achievements and contributions.
Our selection committee comprises industry experts, leaders, and advocates for women in the food and agriculture sector. Their diverse perspectives ensure a fair and thorough evaluation.
Past fellows are ineligible for re-nomination. However, we encourage continued engagement and support from our vibrant LAWFF alumni community.
