CEO & Managing Director, Mrutu Agro Solutions Company Limited
Philipo Fahamuel Mrutu is a dynamic agribusiness leader and the CEO/Managing Director of MRUTU AGROSOLUTIONS COMPANY LIMITED and the Smart Agripreneurship Innovation Centre (SAIC). With over nine years of experience, he combines technical expertise with visionary leadership to drive innovation and growth across the agricultural value chain. Under his leadership, his company was named Africa Agribusiness Company of the Year 2024 and 1st Runner-up in 2023.
Philipo holds a bachelor's in agricultural economics and agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture and is certified in multiple international leadership programs, including YLIP, Empretec, and the Agribusiness Thrive and Advance Program.
Beyond business, Philipo champions youth empowerment and grassroots development. He is the African Agriculture and Food Changemakers Ambassador (2024–present), a founding board member of TAPAIA, and serves on the boards of ACT and TCCIA-Morogoro. He also co-founded UZAMAZAO LIMITED and Amani Agricultural Cooperative Society.
Through training, market linkage initiatives like Out Grower Schemes, and financial platforms such as the Kilimo na Ujasiriamali SACCO, he supports farmers and entrepreneurs. Philipo’s core values, integrity, innovation, and impact, drive his commitment to transforming Africa’s agribusiness landscape.
