The African Food Changemakers Hub (AFC Hub) is a virtual home for active and aspiring agri-food entrepreneurs. The Hub is a platform for these entrepreneurs to start or accelerate their agri-food work, connect, and celebrate their successes on the African continent. The community provides access to funding, learning, and training programs, agri-food data, recognition, visibility and growth opportunities, and other resources to help entrepreneurs scale their businesses in the African agri-food sector.

An interest in the African agri-food sector, or an active agri-food business operated by an African anywhere in Africa. All you need to do is to sign up to the membership Hub through the link below.
Once an entrepreneur’s profile information has been submitted, it takes 2-3 business days for the African Food Changemakers team to approve or contact you via email with follow-up questions to verify your profile
African Food Changemakers supports aspiring African agri-food entrepreneurs to launch innovative agribusiness start-ups through knowledge exchange, training, networking, mentoring, and other resources. Members of this community are called AFC Planters.
These are active agri-food entrepreneurs from anywhere in Africa who have already started an agri-food business and joined the African Food Changemakers membership Hub to leverage its benefits to grow their agri-food business.
Entrepreneurs who have passed through African Food Changemakers’ programs and training become inducted into the AFC Fellow community at the end of their program or training.
Any African Food Changemakers member can contribute relevant information through the AFC Hub. All contributions will be received, reviewed and approved by the AFC team.
Non-members can access general agri-food upcoming events, select data articles/journals and select available funding opportunities.
No. African Food Changemakers provides information and connections to funding opportunities specifically for members in the AFC community.
No. African Food Changemakers members are only agri-food businesses that have submitted a membership sign-up application and have been verified by the African Food Changemakers team.
No. Membership in the African Food Changemakers Hub is free. However, you must be an aspiring or active entrepreneur in the food and agriculture sector.
Yes. African Food Changemakers can withdraw membership anytime by notifying us through their custom membership dashboard or via our membership mailbox. However, we recommend remaining in the community to continue to leverage the exclusive membership opportunities.
We only nominate businesses with a complete, matching profile to various opportunities as they become available. Please ensure to completely update your membership profile to enable us to match you with the most suitable business opportunities for your company.
The African Food Changemakers Hub has members across 37 countries in the North, South, East, West and Central regions in Africa
Our members receive a custom membership newsletter from us on a weekly basis as. Our membership newsletters include information on tailored opportunities for agribusinesses, important industry news, and exciting updates within the AFC membership community. Members in the community also share important updates and requests related to their businesses which are featured in the newsletters. AFC members also engage in group forums on the Hub, Facebook, and Telegram where information is disseminated by members and the AFC team alike.

Please report any illegal or unethical behaviour perpetrated by staff, partners, or implementing agencies associated with African Food Changemakers by completing the whistleblowing form.
The form goes directly to the Board of African Food Changemakers. All complaints will be duly investigated without bias, and confidentiality will be strictly maintained. Whistle-blowers will not be penalized or victimized for submitting this form.
