Tma Farms
TMA farms was incorporated in 2018 to engage in smallhoder farming, and it is currently engaged in cassava and vegetable farming in Isiwo community of Ogun state. Despite the intense competition in cassava farming and vegetables in Ogun state, TMA Farms is well known for its high quality yields. The farm which initially started out on a piece of plot now operates on three hectares of land employing about 15 people (mostly women) from the community. The farm also supports an "outgrower progamme" whereby the youths and women in the community are supported with training to enable them acquire skills on different aspects of the value chain of cassava and tomatoes processing; however it is profoundly important to note that the farm strictly discourages child labour as a matter of policy. In furtherance of its social responsibility, the farm after every harvest gives out processed cassava flour (commonly known as 'garri' and other farm produce ) to about 35 less privileged and vulnerable families in its community. TMA Farms is profoundly conscious of the implications of its farming activities on its environment as much as it is concerned with the consumption safety of its produce by observing and ensuring good agricultural practices.
