Farafena is a social enterprise that I founded in 2013 with my best friend Dylan Beechey in Vancouver Canada. I was born in Mali and raised throughout West Africa. My mother is a retired midwife and my father retired from a 23-year career with UNICEF as a hydrologist, project manager, and country manager for Burkina-Faso. In 2000, I moved to Vancouver Island to finish high school and went onto Capilano University in North Vancouver.
