Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.

Managing Director, Navitas Farms

Sobechukwu Micah Ifemeje is a multidisciplinary executive, consultant, and advocate for sustainable development with over 14 years of experience in agriculture, energy, environmental management, and policy research. He is the managing director of Navitas Farms and Navitas Energy Resources, where he spearheads innovative projects in agro-processing, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

Micah holds a bachelor’s degree in soil and water engineering and a master’s in integrated water resources management. His education is complemented by international training in business, humanitarian water engineering, and global marketing. He has served as a research associate with the United Nations University–MERIT (Netherlands) and Stichting Deltares, contributing to the design of climate and migration policy using advanced analytics, including GIS, social network analysis, and NLP.

He consults across Africa and Europe on strategic development, water security, sustainable agriculture, and energy transitions with clients, including government agencies, financial institutions, and multilateral organizations like UNDP, UNICEF, and IOM. His fieldwork has supported humanitarian water projects in vulnerable communities and emergency settings.

Micah also serves as an ambassador for African Food Changemakers (AFC), leading over 2,000 youth and farmers, and mentors sustainability innovators through the beVisioneer Mercedes-Benz Fellowship. He is affiliated with the UN Migration Network, Geoinformation Society of Nigeria, and Nigeria Association of Hydrological Sciences.

Driven by impact, innovation, and inclusivity, Micah brings a systems-thinking approach to sustainable development, bridging policy, practice, and empowerment.
