Every human being needs food to survive. The increase in the human population in Nigeria as a result of increase in birth rate has necessitated the need for increase in food production. Therefore, agriculture which is primarily concerned with the cultivation of crops and rearing of livestock is indispensable. In addition to the supply of food to the ever increasing human population, agriculture also provides income, employment, shelter, raw materials, and foreign exchange earnings. These importance of agriculture affect all aspects of human lives such as politics, economy, religions, health, education and so on. In this paper, we shall discuss the educational aspect of agriculture known as agricultural education.
