This law governs breeding in the Central African Republic. It includes 42 articles divided into 6 titles, in particular zootechnical improvement and livestock development (Title II); animal feed; surveillance (Title III) and maintenance of animal health, in particular the importation and distribution of veterinary drugs (Title IV); sanitary and quality control of products of animal origin, both within the country and for import and export (Title V). At the institutional level, the Department of Livestock and Animal Industries is responsible in particular for: zootechnical improvement and livestock development; animal feed; surveillance and maintenance of animal health; health and quality control of products of animal origin, both within the country and for import and export; education in animal husbandry and research in animal husbandry and health; the preparation of development programs in the field of breeding and animal industries; and control of the Livestock Development Office.
