Young Africans Community Empowerment Initiative, Sierra Leone (YACEI-SL)
The Young Africans Community Empowerment Initiative, Sierra Leone (YACEI-SL) is a registered young growing youth-led community-based organization with a mission to invest and empower women, children, and youth in hard to reach rural communities in Sierra Leone. Founded in Bomaru Town, Upper Bamabara Chiefdom, Kailhuns District in 2002 by five determined youths who experienced the devastating consequences of the past 11-year civil war. YACEI-SL has growing into a dynamic organization that addresses a range of pressing issues, from education and, peace building, agriculture, income generation to health promotion, human rights, climate change and community development. Agriculture is one of our thematic areas processing cassava into a ready made food that can be eating without delay.
