Emmnoch Farms came up as a response to the under-utilization of the water heritage of Nigeria and the unparalleled increase in demand of fish. Globally, fish is one of the animals that has the highest protein for human consumption and also the economic value attached, it is very lucrative. Emmnoch Farm is situated in the North Central Region of Nigeria, Oro, Irepodun LGA, Kwara State. Emmnoch Farms aims at exploring the rich benefit of fresh fish that is easy to farm in our environment through professional growing and marketing of Cat fish for local consumption. The business has low competition here in Nigeria but a very high demand. In Nigeria, the total fish demand for Nigeria based on the 2014 population estimate of 180m is 3.32m Metric ton. The domestic fish production from Aquaculture, Local and Industrial fisheries for 2014 is 1.123m Metric tons. Also in 2014, fisheries contributed 0.48% to the Agriculture GDP and contribution of Agriculture to GDP (2014) was 20.24%. The recent ban by the Nigerian government on Agro importation of Fish has led to the increase of local fish production. Vision To maximize high demand for fish in Nigerian by growing catfish and also marketing it for its availability in kwara state, north central region, Nigeria and Africa at large. Mission statement Feeding the people with Surplus and nutritious fish by growing them professionally with natural feed and selling them at affordable price possible through a sound business skill. Business Objective Emmnoch Farms is poised at making fish a common food in the North Central Region and Nigeria at large thus reducing or terminating the high consumption of imported raw fish and also reducing its high market cost.
