Clement Isong Foundation (CIF) is a non governmental, not-for-profit organization focusing on women, youth and children, vulnerable and marginalized of the society. CIF was established in May 2006 to promote good governance, deliver on Policy & Democratic Advocacy, Economic Research and Development, Access to Innovation & Education, and Human Capacity Development while preserving and perpetuating the legacies of Chief (Dr.) Clement Isong, CFR, one of the founding Governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (1967 -1975), and the first civilian Governor of the erstwhile Cross River State (1979 1983). Chief Dr. Clement Isong was held by all as a man of honour, honest repute, and integrity. As a renowned economist, elder statesman, patriot, and astute leader, his image was placed on Nigeria’s 1000 Naira note. Through education and training, advocacy, community-led development.
