Decree-Law No. 19/2011 Approving the Hygiene and Sanitary Measures for any Food Stuff Destined to be put on the Market.

This Decree-Law, consisting of 17 articles and 3 Annexes, aims at approving the hygiene and sanitary regulations for any foodstuff destined to be put on the market, in order to guarantee human health and better protection of consumers. This Decree-Law does not apply for private domestic consumption, in any phase of its production, such as primary, preparation, processing, and storage; to the marketing of a small quantity of foodstuff directly supplying the final consumer or the local marketing, within the limits prescribed in Annex III.
