Factors determining the adoption of climate change adaptation strategies by rural women farmers in Burkina Faso

on the most well-known endogenous practices for restoring soil fertility in the northern region of Burkina Faso, this article analyzes the adoption of additional climate change adaptation strategies using primary data collected from 106 women farmers. The estimation results of the multinomial logit model show that farm income has a positive effect on the crop diversification strategy. The choice of the strategy for adjusting agricultural practices is positively influenced by the level of education, the farmer's membership of a producer organization, and access to land. Also, access to land improves the likelihood that a farmer will combine the use of improved seeds with crop diversification.
