With the world navigating the second year of a pandemic, we knew we had to hit the ground running and do some important work to ensure that South Africa’s policies support existing startups and those that will emerge post the pandemic. SiMODiSA, together with other organizations within the ecosystem, including Endeavour SA, SAVCA, Silicon Cape, i4Policy, Africarena, The Digital Collective and The Loudhailer, created a coalition Steering Committee that would be responsible for advocating for a Startup Act for South Africa.
