Strengthening Nutritional Resilience In Africa

Nutrition and food systems are not sectors by themselves; they are dependent on actions that originate from a range of sectors such as agriculture, food security, public health, water, sanitation and hygiene, and social protection. Their interrelationship with climate change is complex, multidirectional, inextricable, and must, therefore, be considered through various pathways, if they are to be effectively and sustainably addressed. Several conceptual frameworks have been developed to illustrate these complex pathways and most are based on how climate variability and change affect nutritional outcomes through the three causal pathways of food, health, and care
